A Plan To End T1D

JDRF is a global diabetes foundation with a strategic plan to end Type 1 Diabetes (T1D). Their mission is to accelerate life-changing breakthroughs to cure, prevent, and treat T1D and its complications.

To accomplish this, JDRF has invested nearly $2 billion in research funding since their inception. They are an organization built on a grassroots model of people connecting in their local communities, collaborating regionally for efficiency and broader fundraising impact, and uniting on a national stage to pool resources, passion and energy.

One Night 2017 Event

The JDRF New Mexico Gala is a unique evening featuring an elegant cocktail party with hosted bar, silent auction with electronic bidding, gourmet dinner with wine pairings, live auction, and JDRF’s signature Fund A Cure.

I was invited to take part of the Gala to be a Youth Ambassador Sponsor for four amazing kids. I created artwork to be auctioned off with all of the proceeds from each piece to go to help end Type 1 Diabetes. I jumped at the opportunity to help out for a great cause and had a lot of fun doing it.
