CrossFit Kids and Teens at CrossFit Hellbox
LuckyTamm Digital Marketing reached out to me to design and develop a custom website for their client, Firehawks Kids & Teens CrossFit. FHK is a CrossFit gym dedicated to paving the way for future generations to understand and enjoy living a healthy and fit lifestyle.
By getting a full understanding of what the website was intended to do, I designed and developed a cohesive website that helps get parents and their children in the doors.

Helping Kids & Teens Through CrossFit
The CrossFit Kids and Teens program at CrossFit Hellbox was started in 2016 by Anti Nelly Soto-Hernandez and Javier Hernandez, two practicing physicians. They wanted to develop a program that would impact families, not just parents and reach beyond just the walls of CrossFit HellBox.
In a year’s time, they have developed one of the top CrossFit Kids programs in Rio Rancho and Albuquerque, with 60 kids and teens participating in the program. The CrossFit Kids coaches love working with the kids to build a stronger, healthier generation.
Creating Interest To Parents
CrossFit Has Many Benefits
Many parents may not know what CrossFit is. And if they do, it might be very intimidating. The content is very informative, showing advocacy in nutrition, fitness, and first aid.
The benefits of these three things lead to healthier children, and ultimately, healthier adults in the future. We wanted to show off that while they coaches are fitness professionals, they are also parents, medical doctors, nurse practitioners, and nutrition specialists. They genuinely care about their clients.
We wanted a look that was appealing to children with a focus on adults. However, we didn’t want to be too colorful like a children’s picture book.
Through the use of gradient backgrounds, we utilized large call to action buttons for signing up and attending free classes. These colorful areas draw the eye to do something; in our case we wanted a click to get the customer in the door.
Visuals and Photography
CrossFit can seem intimidating, especially to those who don’t have an active lifestyle. Knowing this, we took a minimalistic approach with clean typography. We focused heavily on good photography, to show off what a typical class is like and what WOD’s (Workout of the Day) are.
Through the photography provided by LuckyTamm, we were able to show off happy, focused faces that were in some form of activity such as stretching, warming up, or working out.

CrossFit Events For Everyone
Firehawks Kids & Teens CrossFit holds events for all types of CrossFitters in many different skill levels. I didn’t want just a boring list of events. I wanted the events to standout; they help set them apart from other gyms.
