Animal Humane of New Mexico Fundraiser
A sixth grade school teacher and his kids had a great idea on how to get the class involved with the community; they wanted to help Animal Humane of New Mexico, a local animal shelter in here in Albuquerque, NM. The class brainstormed and came up with the name 1 Paw 2 Another.
Hopefully, it’s the beginning of an annual event. The kids are assigned a station and move around throughout the four-hour event that includes a grooming salon where pets are brushed, pampered, and leave smelling like sugar cookies. There is also a gift basket drawing, pet and human bake sales, and mobile pet adoptions from AHNM.
All proceeds go to AHNM. The first year, they raised around $600. The second, they raised over $1000! They came to me a week or so before the event and I made this cute little flyer design for them to promote the event.
